Playing Tennis?

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!!
Although, my outfit gives the impression that I went to play tennis (and maybe to some it gives out a school girl vibe), I actually went to brunch. Therefore, don't believe everything you see. hehe
On a more serious note, since yellow is one of my favorite colors, I was immediately drawn to this skirt, when I was at American Apparel. It is now my favorite skirt (although it's really tight), because of its versatility (dress it up/dress it down). Striped shirts are amazing basics to have in your closet. When in doubt, wear stripes. I've always loved hair accessories, mostly hats, but I am really into headbands at the moment. It's just a phase, though. hehe

Makeup Bag Essentials

Inside the little black bag.
My everyday makeup routine consists of the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder, followed by Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. I recently started to use the Laura Mercier Powder and I absolutely love it. The only bad thing is that it finishes fast and it costs way too much. :/ An alternative is Estee Lauder Double Wear Powder, which is what I used to use. I then use the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, Nectar & Nude Collection ,the shimmer is also a great alternative to eyeshadows. I sometimes use the Laura Mercier Sheer Creme Color, if I want to add some pink on my cheeks. I am honestly not an expert on makeup and I have no idea what's the right way of putting things on, but I do like to try new things and experiment with makeup to see what works for me. I never really knew how much brushes make a difference to how you apply the makeup, until someone suggested that I get the Laura Mercier Cheek Colour Brush. I was surprised at the significant difference the brush made to applying blush or bronzer. Another great brush, that I received in the GlossyBox, is the Nicka K New York Blending Eyeshadow Brush. It makes my eyeshadows look more blended and it is so soft you just don't want to stop blending. hehe. I love the M.A.C. Eye Shadow-White Frost for everyday use. I like wearing this with just mascara for a natural look. One thing I can't leave the house without, besides putting on concealer, is filling in my eyebrows. I've always used the Lancome Brow Liner (which I absolutely love and it lasts for years), but after trying few other brands I ended up really liking the M.A.C. Veluxe Brow Liner-Deep Brunette. I like the pencil brow liners better than pallette ones, only cause it's so much easier and faster for me to use the liner.
I usually go for the drug store mascaras, since I've learned in the past that the brand name mascaras aren't as great for the price you pay. I recently purchased the L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara and so far I love it. Another great drug store find was the Eye Pencil: COVERGIRL-Cobalt Blue, I use it as a regular eyeliner and it does make my eyes pop and look bigger. I got the Suman Contrast Eye Pencil -Sumita in the Glossy Box as well and I think it is now my favorite black eye liner. I don't usually put eyeshadow on but when I do I use the Too Faced Shadow Primer.
I do wear lots of lipsticks, lipliners and lipgloss, only because it's the simplest way to add color to your face without adding anything else.
My favorites are MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil-Soft Yellow Pink  (similar Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lip Pencil-Pink). I absolutely love the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour- 44 La Diva (also have this). I cannot get enough of the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil-Dragon Girl, also love all the other colors in Matte. I recently discovered LimeCrime Red Velvet and Lime Crime Opaque Lipstick-Geradium. Not only, is Lime Crime vegan and cruelty-free makeup, its lipsticks are amazing. It dries immediately after putting it on and lasts for hours. I think that is all I can say about my tiny makeup bag. Have an awesome week! :)
